What Are Evolution Cards?
Evolution Cards are higher-Rank versions of your existing cards. They don't replace your Base cardsâthey overlay on top of them, creating a combined card with access to multiple sets of abilities.
The Four Ranks
Every card in Netghosts has a Rank that represents its level of power. Evolution is the process of ascending through these Ranks.
- Base: The starting rank.
- Super: The first evolution.
- Ultra: The second evolution.
- Ascended: The highest evolution.
How to Evolve
To Evolve a card:
- Spend 2 Energy Points.
- Take a card of one Rank higher than a card currently in play.
- Overlay the higher card onto the lower card, keeping the lower card's Inherit visible.
The Evolved card is now in play. You can use:
- The higher card's Tags, Upgrades, and Inherit
- The lower card's Inherit (stacking effects)
- If you have a specific Upgrade, even the lower card's Tags
Evolution also raises your dice cap by 1 for each stage above Base.
